[Arles 2012] Animals of Camargue, France

This is the first photo gallery from my romantic trip to Arles last summer. Arles is a small town in the South of France, between Montpellier and Marseille. It is famous for many things amongst which its arena, its huge photography exhibition and its close proximity to the Regional Park of Camargue.
So, one day, we decided to go to the beach in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in Camargue, 37km away from Arles. We had two options: go by bus or by bike. We thought we could do it partly by bus and then take our rented bikes in the protected area of the Regional Park. Fortunately, we missed the bus, so we had to go cycling all along the way. Indeed, we would have missed many things by taking the bus. I really recommend to do it all cycling if you are a good biker and are not afraid to cycle for 37km under the hottest sun you can endure in the South of France.
Here is a little glimpse into the nice animals (crickets, horses, bulls, dragonflies, flamingos, ...) you can meet along the way to the beach. And don't forget your sunscreen!
